So what?

Happened to me in 1986. Bought a Camaro off the dealers lot. When I asked about the 387 miles they told me it was "test driving miles" Three days later some girl randomly comes up to me and states she "stole" my car off the dealers lot. I checked, police report and everything was right. Car had been stolen by her 6-months earlier and was in fact recovered in Reno Nv. The dealers never disclosed the info to me. I sued them (she was a witness) and I ended up with the car & 10-K

This is unacceptable. It's one thing to be on duty while violating someone's right they swore to protect and uphold . But to be off duty at a bar harassing and holding this guy on the ground unlawfully is tyranny at its fullest. Whoever the LT or SGT for Hinckley on the scene should of gotten a statement or affidavit from Brunswick PD to what he saw once he arrived on the scene seeing the guy on the ground so they could have had probable cause to arrest that guy. But what do you see instead, her asking the guy if he wants to press charges. Unbelievable

The biggest shame should fall on the investigating officers who continued to treat the victim like a criminal all the while trying their hardest to cut the racist LEO a break. I assume the only reason the DEA and ATF guys were actually charged is that everyone had body cams on and, while the responding officers were abusive to the victim, they were smart enough to not risk their own careers for two drunk tyrants.
